LGBTQ+ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Protocol

QueerVadis Standards

Created in partnership with AITGL – Italian LGBTQ+ Tourist Board, validated by RINA (international certification body) and under the patronage of ELTA – European LGBTQ+ Travel Alliance, the QV Diversity – Equity & Inclusion Standards state the basics for marketing, communication and diversity management to include and not discriminate any diversity, with a specific focus on gender equality for the LGBTQ+ traveller (here the validation certificate). We ask companies to widespread good inclusive policies amongst their suppliers, in order to identify a virtuous supply chain. This means to be able and ready to bounce back suppliers who do not align with the Queervadis Standards criteria for the specific segment. This is a key point to inspire both. the creation of a more inclusive workforce and also the emotional wellbeing of employees.

Queervadis is a Sonders&Beach brand. Located in Italy and it S&B a major tourism multimanagement company, with parental business in San Francisco, USA. Founded in 2002  it has grown on international markets for its specialized brands in tour operating, media, outsourcing and advisoring/consultancy. Since 2021 it is a benefit corporation with a strong commitment to DE&I. It has widely contributed to develop the Italian and international LGBTQ+ travel market. It partners with IGLTA – International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association as well as with ELTA and funded AITGL.

What RINA Says

RINA auditors have conducted a severe analysis on the D&I Protocol and validated it as applicable, with respect to specific norms, national and international regulations. We acknowledge the value of protocol D&I as a tool to promote, monitor and evaluate the capacity of its addressees to create a more inclusive environment, both for guests and for workers. We do believe that protocols like this are a great contribution to the thriving and improvement of the travel industry, aligned with RINA vision in terms of sustainability.
